MAD Magazine is hitting a major milestone this month with the release of MAD #600, a celebratory issue marking 74 years of the iconic humor publication.
Arriving June 17, the oversized anniversary issue combines new material with classic MAD content, giving longtime readers and newcomers plenty to enjoy. The landmark edition features a wraparound cover by legendary MAD artist Sergio Aragonés, an exclusive Spy vs. Spy poster by Peter Kuper, an all-new Fold-In, and a tribute essay from comedian Patton Oswalt.
The issue also returns the magazine to its original numbering system, with future editions continuing from this milestone as MAD #601 and beyond.
As expected, the issue is packed with the kind of sharp satire and pop culture parody that has defined the magazine for generations. Alongside brand-new material from the Usual Gang of Idiots, readers will find classic MAD-style takes on television, movies, and contemporary culture.

According to DC, roughly half of the issue consists of newly created content, balanced with memorable pieces from the magazine’s extensive archive.
Highlights include:
- Wraparound cover by Sergio Aragonés
- Tribute to MAD by comedian Patton Oswalt
- Exclusive Spy vs. Spy poster by Peter Kuper
- An all-new Fold-In
- Return to legacy numbering with issue #600
- A mix of new material and classic MAD content
For fans who grew up with Alfred E. Neuman’s brand of irreverent humor, MAD #600 serves as both a celebration of the magazine’s history and a reminder that its unique voice remains alive and well.
