In honor of San Diego Comic-Con this week, our Channel Surfing TV picks include shows that will also be at the big pop culture event. Head back to Arlen for another season of King of the Hill. The Big Bang Theory receives another spinoff with Stuart Fails To Save the Universe. Then, prepare for more space adventures in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
Everyday Life in Texas
Animated comedy King of the Hill was revived last year. Its return was met with critical acclaim, and Hulu renewed the series for more seasons than originally planned due to the response. Now it returns for its 15th season.
Hank and Peggy are a little bit older and finding ways to keep themselves busy during their retirement. In addition, Bobby and Connie have reignited their romance, but there are some rocky patches. Connie’s parents still don’t approve of the two together, and another woman looks to steal Bobby away.
Stream King of the Hill season 15 beginning today, July 20, on Hulu.
Through the Multiverse
Stuart Bloom first appeared on The Big Bang Theory in the second season. He was the owner of the comic book store the main characters patronized from time to time. The character began as recurring and eventually made it onto the main cast.
He has come a long way now that he will star in his very own spinoff series Stuart Fails To Save the Universe. In the show, Stuart accidentally breaks a device made by Sheldon and Leonard that causes a multiverse armageddon. It’s up to him to set things right, and luckily he has the aid of his friends to help save the day.
Stuart Fails To Save the Universe debuts Thursday, July 23, on HBO Max.
To Boldly Go
When we last left Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, things didn’t end so happy between Captains Pike and Batel. But life moves on, and there are move areas in the galaxy to explore for the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise.
This season, our heroes will embark on even more adventures in space. Their journeys will test their mettle as they try to overcome their inner demons as well as many external threats. Along the way they just might cross paths with new colorful characters while also reconnecting with some old familiar faces.
The fourth season premiere of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds releases Thursday, July 23, on Paramount+.
