‘Superior Spider-Man’ #1 to introduce new female villain

‘Superior Spider-Man’ #1 launches November 15th.

Marvel Comics revealed at the SDCC retailer lunch new details surrounding future stories, including Superior Spider-Man. After the Superior Spider-Man Returns one-shot, the character will return in November with a brand new series headed by Dan Slott and Mark Bagley.

The series promises to bring in a brand-new villain from Superior Spider-Man’s past. Little is known at this point, but we do know the villain is female. Could it be Anna Maria Marconi?

Here’s what we know:

As she fries New York with all the power of a living star, Doc Ock makes a life-changing discovery in this epic celebration of everything that made Spider-Man Superior. The new villain will make her first appearance in SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN RETURNS before unleashing her revenge on Otto Octavius, Peter Parker, and more in the new series.

Check out the cover by Bagley below.
