King in Black is a huge event for Marvel Comics which can be seen by the variant covers and many tie-in comics already revealed. Courtesy of Marvel Comics, AIPT has the exclusive reveal of King in Black: Captain America which is written by Danny Lore with art by Mirko Colak. Along with cover art by Salvador Larroca and solicitation text for the book–see below–we have a few words from Lore on the one-shot.
“Steve, Bucky, and Sam were some of the characters that got me back into comics as an adult, as the 616 universe grappled with Civil War,” Lore said via email. “Getting to write these very excellent dudes up against seemingly impossible odds is a dream come true. Right now, more than ever, it’s really important for me to tell stories specifically about what happens when it seems like there’s no way out, and I hope the readers find some comfort (and some really awesome horror!) in this one!”
