Current Bat-scribe Tom King has said he has plans to write 100 issues of Batman.
In his thirty-five-issue run thus far, he’s brought the Dark Knight through rooftop trysts and eventually, wedding proposals with Catwoman; cruising through the streets of Gotham in the Batmobile with Swamp Thing; and given us Kite-Man‘s version of The Killing Joke, to name just a few notable moments.
In the upcoming Batman #38, we might be adding another noteworthy moment to that list; namely, a brand new Bat-villain created by Tom King “who’ll play big role going forward.”
To make sure @Joelle_Jones could draw the Wonder Woman issues we added a one and done in 38. It's a Batman as dark detective issue and introduces my first original Bat villain who'll play a big role going forward. I kind of love it. https://t.co/20gwtJc0os

What kind of Bat-villain will Tom King create and can he/she leave an indelible mark on Batman’s already esteemed rogues gallery? Batman #38 hits shelves on January 3rd, 2018.
