[Watch] LEGO Master Builders create a Star Wars and LEGO first

Watch a speedbuild of a one of a kind Star Wars LEGO vehicle that actually works!

Here at AiPT! we have a serious Star Wars obsession — like, super duper serious. We spent the entire month of December talking about Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and with Solo: A Star Wars Story coming out May 25th, we decided to do it all over again. For the next month AiPT! will be flooded with Star Wars YouTube videos, podcasts, cosplay, comic reviews, novel reviews, and hell, maybe we’ll even dive back into the dreaded holiday special from the ’70s.

Today, LEGO is celebrating the new Star Wars and May the 4th with one hell of a Master Builders challenge. To build a Star Wars themed vehicle that you can actually ride. As you can see in the speedbuild below it took awhile to build, 396 hours to be exact! Made up of 20,300 LEGO bricks and measuring 9 feet long and 6 feet wide this is not only an impressive design, but it actually works too.

Listen to the latest episode of our Star Wars podcast, Talkin' Tauntauns!

Aside from the pictures below, Star Wars fans can also snap a picture with it where it will be displayed at Bryant Park New York. As an added bonus, if fans hashtag #LEGOStarWars and #RoarForChange with pictures of the model Lucasfilm and Star Wars: Force for Change will donate $1 to UNICEF for each public post, like or share on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter that includes #RoarForChange. Just use the hashtag #RoarForChange between May 3 to May 25, 2018!
