Lex Luthor/Porky Pig #1 has a message about online racism, incels, and pro-gun communities

Lex Luthor and Porky Pig get political.

SPOILERS ahead. You’ve been warned.

Make no mistake, Mark Russell is a writer who is willing to infuse his comics with politics. It’s why The Flintstones was so very good (and so very good at annoying certain people). In his latest DC Comics work he takes on Porky the Pig and Lex Luthor who have joined forces and are working together. Lex is actually Porky Pig’s boss and we soon discover his division is all about social media. Specifically, targetting a very particular audience:

Lex Luthor/Porky Pig #1 has a message about online racism, incels, and pro-gun communities

As you can see Lex is an opportunist even if it means populating his social media platform with despicable folks who were kicked off other websites. The results are great:

And who is Porky to judge when it comes to great results?

There’s a message here about supporting dangerous people on the internet regardless of their actions. Twitter and Facebook are just two that have had their issues in the past. Does this make you think differently about social media? Does Russell have a point? Let us know in the comments.
