Yesterday, a bored Brie Larson had an idea to fight her ennui, and fired off a tweet that sent the superhero-minded corner of the internet into a frenzy:
Hey @EW I’m bored. Wanna break the Internet tomorrow?

Entertainment Weekly responded in kind:

Though most people (us included) thought this meant a trailer, today Entertainment Weekly released a cover story about the movie, complete with our first official look at Brie Larson as Captain Marvel.

As part of the story, EW released 10 promotional photos from the movie, along with some important new details about the film. Check out the photos below:

Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as the eponymous hero, also known as Carol Danvers. Though it it one of the first Marvel Cinematic Universe films to come out since the release of the shocking Avengers: Infinity War, the film takes place in the 1990s and thus will likely not deal with much of its fallout.
Captain Marvel hits theaters March 8, 2019.
