Movie studios not named Disney have not had the best of luck with their Marvel movies. From various attempts at Fantastic Four to the upcoming Venom (the movie is not officially out, but early reviews have not been positive), no one seems to be able to produce a superhero movie that pleases fans. (Sam Raimi did a fine job with his first two Spider-Man movies, but they were so long ago. And the less said about the third, the better.)
This may all change come the middle of December. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will be releasing during the packed holiday season. The movie will feature Miles Morales, Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy, and Spider-Ham battling the Kingpin. The movie looks to bring the fun and excitement that all Spider-fans are used to.
A trailer for the animated film was released earlier today showcasing six Spider-people. Has Sony Pictures finally found the magic formula or will Aquaman end up being the best comic book movie of December? Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse releases December 14th.
