The Deadpool movies are action packed and funny superhero movies that pretty much everyone can enjoy. Unless, they are under the age of 17. True to the character’s nature, both Deadpool installments have been R rated affairs that have pushed the boundaries of the rating. Curse words, graphic violence, and full frontal nudity have all been fair game in the two films. While the movies have been financial successes, the rating has meant no one under 17 has ever seen the film.
On December 12, Once Upon a Deadpool hits theaters. The movie is a PG-13 recut of Deadpool 2. This family friendly version will not only allow for a younger audience, but it may also serve as a litmus test as to how to fit the merc with a mouth in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. How well will a PG-13 Deadpool do? And what about the pre-teens?
