Without a doubt, Charles Soule’s run on Darth Vader has been of the great comic series ever told in the Star Wars universe. It comes to an end with issue #25, but the penultimate issue is here. In it, Darth Vader faces a Sith named Momin who is incredibly powerful and ancient with knowledge of the Force like we’ve never seen. In this penultimate issue Momin kicks Vader’s butt, but in doing so implants an idea that could be further reason for why Darth Vader turned on the Emperor in Return of the Jedi.

Leading up to this moment, Momin does what any dime a dozen villain does and does a lot of talking.

He is talking of a Sith doorway that may let Darth Vader meet with Padme and actually bring her back just as the Emperor promised.
