We won’t have to just imagine which Fox-owned Marvel properties we’d like to see given the Marvel Cinematic Universe treatment for much longer; thanks to the Disney/Fox deal and Disney CEO Bob Iger’s confirmation last December, we knew X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool would be integrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe eventually — we just didn’t have a time frame. A recent sit down with MCU president Kevin Feige revealed that the time for the flagship characters could be even sooner than we thought.
Per Variety/iHeartRadio podcast Playback:
“We’ve been told it’s looking very, very good and could happen in the first six months of next year,” Feige said. “The notion of the characters coming back is great. It’s nice when a company that created all these characters can have access to all those characters. It’s unusual not to. But in terms of actually thinking about it and actually planning things, we haven’t started that yet.”
Are you excited to see the X-Men and the Fantastic Four under the MCU banner and oversight of Kevin Feige? What is the best way to integrate the characters? Sound off in the comments.
