It looks like it won’t just be familiar faces in Titans’ second Season, as DC Comics reports that Joshua Orpin has been cast as Conner Kent/Superboy. As the site notes, this isn’t the first time the super-teen’s popped into the show, as he briefly appeared at the end of season 1. He’d broken out of a lab, with dog in tow, its eyes glowing red.
Orpin most recently appeared in The Blake Mysteries: Ghost Stories as Constable Peter Crowe. His character’s described as an “angsty teenager of steel searching for purpose and the truth about his past.” In his search for answers, Kent “finds an unlikely home and surrogate family” in the Titans, as well as “revelations that carry more complications than he ever bargained for.”

In the comics, Conner’s a clone of Superman, with DNA from both him and Lex Luthor. Similarly to the Young Justice series, he finds camaraderie with heroes Robin, Impulse and Wonder Girl. This isn’t the first time Conner’s been adapted into live action, as Lucas Grabeel played the teenage Conner in season 10 of Smallville.
Season 2 of Titans will likely arrive on DC Universe later this year.
