Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker hype notwithstanding, we’re still highly anticipating upcoming live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian — so much that the brand-new logo and official stills/teaser trailer of the Jon Favreau-helmed project released Sunday afternoon have us just as hyped as Emperor Palpatine’s infamous cackle at the end of Episode IX’s teaser.

The photos feature not only Pedro Pascal decked out in full battle-worn Mandalorian gear but ancillary characters Greef Carga (Carl Weathers), head of a bounty hunters’ guild and Cara Dune (Gina Carano), an ex-Rebel Shock Trooper. The series takes place at some point between Star Wars: A New Hope and The Force Awakens, after the fall of the Empire and before the rise of the First Order. Does that mean Pedro Pascal’s character could be more closely linked to Boba Fett, the fan-favorite Mandalorian-armor wearing bounty hunter who we last saw meeting his ostensible untimely demise in the innards of a Sarlacc Pit Monster in Return of the Jedi, than we thought?
The Mandalorian premieres on November 12th on the Disney+ streaming service, with Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels director Dave Filoni handling the first episode. The series is written and executive produced by Jon Favreau; Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok), Bryce Dallas Howard and Rick Famuyiwa (Dope) all served as directors for several episodes.
