More characters bite the dust in Uncanny X-Men #20

Even more major X-Men villains die this week!

Spoilers ahead. You’ve been warned. For more read our review.

If you’ve been reading Matthew Rosenberg and Salvador Larroca’s run on Uncanny X-Men you know characters are dying left and right. Most recently Chamber died in battle and prior to that Joseph, Magneto’s clone, got his head lopped off. Two more meet their end this week in Uncanny X-Men #20.

Earlier on in the issue, Shinobi Shaw gives a rousing speech about how mutants were given their abilities to survive humanity. Cornered, he decides to use his density powers to kill himself by slipping his hand into his head.

Later, after Wolverine nearly kills Marrow and other violence takes place, we learn Dark Beast has totally messed around right under Cyclops’ nose and kids are dying for it. Like a good villain, he explains what he did and why. Magik aka Illyana does what she thinks is best in the moment…

…and teleports his head into the ceiling. Hey, that’s two deaths by “Shunk”!

If you have any doubt Dark Beast is dead, just check out the final page where his bloody body hangs as the X-Men sit casually around the corpse.

In the final telepathic text, you can see Emma is reaching out to Scott Summers which will be continued in the next issue. What are the chances even more mutants die? Based on this and past issues at least one more is going to bite it!

I highly recommend you read the entire issue to get the full picture! It’s out now in comic shops.
