AIPT Comics Podcast Episode 59: Guests Si Spurrier and Chris Wildgoose talk Alienated, craft, and “Insane Nonsense”

Your weekly comic book news and review fix in podcast form.

This week we have special guests Simon Spurrier and Chris Wildgoose on to talk about their book Alienated #1 out this week from BOOM! Studios. We get into the nitty-gritty about the series, talk about comics writing and art, and the “insane nonsense” Spurrier writes and Wildgoose must draw. We also play Superfight–who would win at mud wrestling–and talk about what Spurrier and Wildgoose do when they’re not making comics.

Before we get to the interview Forrest and Dave break down the latest news which includes Mark Waid relaunching Squadron Supreme in a two-issue Empyre tie-in,  how Celestial Messiah is incoming, additional Marvel’s Pull List reveals from their Empyre May 2020 books, the new details on The Marvels #1 gets a full solicit, Bleeding Cool has new details on Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s Death Metal, Tom King shares details from canceled New 52 Superboy, and finally, the sad news JJ Abrams’ final two Spider-Man issues are postponed even further.
