Becky Lynch announces pregnancy, relinquishes Women’s Championship

Becky Lynch will be taking time off from WWE to start a family with Seth Rollins.

Becky Lynch is pregnant and has relinquished her Raw Women’s Championship, as announced tonight in the opening segment of Raw. Asuka, who won the Money in the Bank briefcase last night, was awarded the Raw Women’s Championship in exchange for the briefcase.

“The Man” won the Raw Women’s Championship, along with the SmackDown Women’s Championship, all the way back at WrestleMania 35 in 2019, pinning Ronda Rousey in a match that also involved Charlotte Flair. Since then, she has held the Raw Women’s Championship for 399 days, the longest reign in the title’s history.

Rumors began swirling before Raw as WWE confirmed a report from Pro Wrestling Sheet claiming Lynch would be making a major announcement regarding her career. Now we know what the announcement is — what we don’t know is what Becky Lynch’s future plans are.

Lynch is engaged to fellow WWE Superstar Seth Rollins.

AIPT wishes Becky and Seth the best with their new family.
