Marvel Comics empire grows with Alien and Predator comics on the way

Alien and Predator comics now set for Marvel after decades-long tenure at Dark Horse Comics.

It was a likely outcome once Disney acquired Fox we all saw coming, but today IGN has revealed Marvel Comics will regain the licensing of Predator and Alien comics. Along with the reveal came two pieces of excellent art by David Finch. Check those out below.

It’s worth noting IGN made it clear the art doesn’t mean both these fierce aliens will be attacking the Marvel superheroes anytime soon. Marvel’s Editor in Chief C.B. Cebulski retweeted the news and confirmed this has been in the works for some time.

For the longest time–since 1988 in fact–Dark Horse Comics had been the sole publisher of Alien and Predator comic books. This news comes just five years after Marvel Comics plucked Star Wars away from Dark Horse Comics.

With Dark Horse still set to release a Predator original screenplay comic book they’re not done yet, but they have until 2021 until Marvel takes the properties on.
