Apple TV+ is assembling quite the assortment of exclusive originals from the animated musical, Central Park, to docuseries like Dear…. The streaming service will have a new comedy next month entitled Ted Lasso which stars Jason Sudeikis as the lead.
The ten-episode series follows the titular character who is a small-time college football coach from Kansas. He makes the trip across the pond where he is hired to coach soccer; a sport where he has no experience and limited knowledge. Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Phil Dunster and Nick Mohammed are set to star along Sudeikis.
Today, a trailer was released for the upcoming show. It seems that Coach Lasso will need to do some adjusting to both soccer and living abroad.
Ted Lasso premieres on Apple TV+ on August 14 with the first three episodes. New episodes will premiere weekly on Fridays thereafter.
