Exclusive comiXology first look: ‘Virtually Yours’ art process by Elizabeth Beals

Get a behind the scenes look at comiXology Originals OGN Virtually Yours.

Have you checked out the new comiXology Originals series Virtually Yours by Jeremy Holt and Elizabeth Beals? The new series is one our reviewer Christopher Franey said had “Great character building and fantastic art create a real atmosphere.” Having read it, and interviewed Holt and Beals on the AIPT Comics podcast, I can say for certain it’s well worth reading and sharing with friends.

One topic that came up on the podcast was how Beals draws clothing as well as creating strong settings. With that said, enjoy a break down of art by Beals in this exclusive art process below!

Listen to the latest episode of our weekly comics podcast!

First up is an apartment break down.

Next up, some process photos from the page, to a digital screen, and final coloring.

And finally here’s a side by side of Beals’ work first on paper and then getting the digital coloring treatment.

Virtually Yours is available now on ComiXology.
