Marvel Comics revealed earlier today the big twist ending in Empyre #4 (read our review here) and now more news has come to light around the upcoming Empyre: Avengers Aftermath #1.

As revealed in the official Marvel Comics press release below it appears Empyre: Avengers Aftermath #1 will be celebrating the surprise wedding this September. It’ll also be written by Al Ewing with art by Valerio Schiti with a cover by Jim Cheung.

New York, NY— August 5, 2020 — In the aftermath of the cosmic conflict known as EMPYRE, heroes will gather to celebrate the marriage of two of Marvel’s most beloved Avengers. Revealed at the end of EMPYRE #4, Teddy Altman, the Kree/Skrull hybrid Hulkling, and his longtime boyfriend Billy Kaplan, the powerful magic-wielding Wiccan, were married just before Hulkling took to the stars to fulfill his destiny of uniting the Kree and Skrull empires against the universal threat of the Cotati.
