August 12’s AEW Dynamite beats WWE NXT in ratings again

‘The Demo God’ strikes again?

While both shows are down from last week, Dynamite handily defeated NXT in the almighty 18-49 demographic, doubling NXT‘s .16 rating with a .32.

AEW’s flagship program regularly defeats WWE’s third brand in head-to-head ratings (with some notable exceptions). This week, AEW promoted Tag Team Appreciation Night, and a main event of Orange Cassidy vs. Chris Jericho. Over on the other channel, WWE promoted more qualifying matches for the NXT North American Championship Ladder Match coming at TakeOver XXX, which ended up seeing Cameron Grimes defeat Finn Balor and a returning Velveteen Dream.
