Renee Young reportedly leaving WWE

The venerable voice of WWE is reportedly looking to move on from the company.

We knew this day would someday come, but it is still tough to hear: Renee Young is reportedly wrapping up her obligations with WWE and will be moving on, according to PWInsider.

Renee started working for WWE in October 2012, after years of co-hosting Right After Wrestling for Canada’s The Score Television Network. Since then, she has appeared in just about every non-wrestling capacity imaginable, from backstage interviewer, to commentator, to co-host of talk shows such as Talkin’ Smack, to even occasionally being lightly involved in storylines (usually via mention of her real-life marriage to former WWE Superstar and current AEW World Champion Dean Ambrose/Jon Moxley).

In 2018, Young became the first-ever woman to become a regular member of the Raw commentary team.

Rumors have swirled since essentially the day she set foot in the company that she may one day leave, as ESPN has reportedly expressed interest in her since at least 2014.

It is currently unknown what her future plans are. While on one hand it does seem like she’s destined for bigger and better things outside of the world of wrestling, a reunion with her husband in All Elite Wrestling cannot be ruled out at this time.

Best wishes go out to Renee Young in everything she does in the future.
