While Star Wars took the prize for PulseCon’s biggest announcements, Marvel Legends wasn’t about to let them have all the fun. In a year where we get new Legends figures announced faster than our wallets can ever hope to keep up, Hasbro unveiled yet another great looking wave. They also showcased a couple new exclusives and some really cool stuff to look forward to down the road.
Avengers Gamerverse/Joe Fixit BAF wave
Let’s take a look at this wave first. As a whole, it’s nothing that would have normally excited me. Thankfully, there are a few individual character who we’ve been waiting to see for a long time.
Comic Sam Wilson/Falcon
FINALLY! We’ve been needing this guy for a while. I know we had the movie version already, but the comic accurate costume is the one that everyone was waiting for. Now we just need a Falcon Cap with wings like this one and we’re set.
The figure will retail for $19.99. It is available now for preorder with an expected arrival in November.
Comic Kang the Conquerer
Definitely did not expect this one to look so good. He wasn’t on my list for the Marvel villain shelf before, but now I’m definitely considering it.
The figure will retail for $19.99. It is available now for preorder with an expected arrival in November.
Comic Jocasta
Not really a character I think about much, but still a beautiful figure. She also comes with Mr. Fixit’s torso, so you better learn to love her if you want to complete the BAF.
The figure will retail for $19.99. It is available now for preorder with an expected arrival in November.
Comic Thunderstrike
Kevin Materson is here to eternally scream at your or serve as alternate “passing a kidney stone” head for one of your Thors.
In all this seriousness, this is a pretty great looking figure. It will retail for $19.99 and is available for preorder now with an expected arrival in November.
Gamerverse Atmosphere Iron Man
Even though I don’t play the game where this figure came from, it’s color scheme and my love of all things blue almost made me pull the trigger.
The figure will retail for $19.99. It is available now for preorder with an expected arrival in November.
Gamerverse Stealth Captain America
I think most of us are pretty well stocked up on Cap figures by this point. If you’re not, though, then this one looks pretty great.
The figure will retail for $19.99. It is available now for preorder with an expected arrival in November.
Build-A-Figure Mr. Fixit
Buy all the figures in the wave and you get to make this bad boy. The original Joe Fixit Legends figure still holds up surprisingly well, but this is great for folks who don’t want to pay exorbitant prices on Ebay for him.
Now let’s take a look at some of the exclusives and other future items coming our way.
Hasbro Pulse Exclusives
The following figures can only be bought on HasbroPulse.com (obviously)
Hellfire Club Guard
A really nice army builder to keep watch over your Hellfire Club set when it arrives. It’s also priced at a more army-builder friendly cost ($14.99) and is available for preorder now with an expected arrival next month.
Silk
I was surprised to see this one win a recent fan vote since the figure we got four ago was great. Then I saw the after market prices. Oof.
I’m still happy with my original version, but you better believe I’d be snagging this upgraded one if I didn’t have the character on my shelf yet. The figure will retail for $19.99 and is available now.
Marvel Legends Retro 3.75 Sets
Do you want to be overcharged for two 5-POA figures? Then today is your lucky day.
I don’t mean to be rude to anyone who genuinely likes these, but I also legitimately don’t understand how these are going to sell at this price point. Also, I’m genuinely fearful that a successful launch for this line could mean more 5 POS POA figures in the future.
Anyway, the sets will run you $19.99 for two figures that don’t have elbows or knees. You can also get them all in one set for $79.99 exclusively through Hasbro Pulse. They are available now for preorder with an expected arrival in December.
Marvel Legends 2021
Apologies in advance for the poor photo quality. There haven’t been any promo images released, so this was the best I could pull off social media.
Into the Spider-Verse/Stilt Man BAF Wave
On the plus side, we finally get a movie version of Miles and Gwen with unmasked heads (and an animated Spider-Ham).
As far as Stilt Man goes…he looks good, but I have grave concerns about his ability to stand upright on a shelf. I have toys on stands that still like to take flying leaps onto the floor once in a while.
Also, the Hand Ninja looks great.
Firestar
Definite must buy. What a great sculpt!
Bad Guys BAF Wave
Not really excited about Dormammu, but will definitely be picking up that Arcade.
Marvel Legends Infinity Gauntlet 30th Anniversary Wave
I like the Legends Thanos I have right now, but that Silver Surfer is all types of gorgeous.
Marvel Legends House of X Powers of 10 Wave
Good thing I don’t really buy 6″ scale X-Men figures much or my wallet would be shot. These look incredible, especially Magneto.
Retro X-Men (Target and Toys R’ Us Canada exclusive)
…or maybe I should be buying more X-Men figures after all.
