Dark Horse to publish ComiXology Originals ‘Stone Star’ Vol. 1 and ‘Lost on Planet Earth’

Dark Horse Comics and Comixology are teaming up to print even more digital-first series in 2021.

EXCLUSIVE: Dark Horse Comics and ComiXology have inked a deal for ComiXology Originals Stone Star Volume 1 and Lost on Planet Earth to be printed/distributed by Dark Horse Comics. Stone Star Volume 1 is by writer Jim Zub, artist Max Dunbar, and letterer Marshall Dillon and was originally released on ComiXology in September 2019. Lost on Planet Earth is by writer Magdalene Visaggio, artist Claudia Aguirre, and letter Zakk Saam with the first issue released in April 2020.

I’ve learned Stone Star Volume 1 can be found in comic shops and bookstores in July 2021 and Lost On Planet Earth in comic book shops and in bookstores in August 2021.

The news comes after Dark Horse Comics and Comixology revealed in August they were partnering to publish ComiXology Originals in print for the very first time. The original deal included Eisner Award winner Afterlift, Breaklands, Youth, and The Black Ghost which are set to ship to book stores and comic book shops between February and May 2021.

So what’s it about?

Stone Star is a mobile space station where entertainment abounds, and competition and celebrity are intertwined.
