WrestleMania 37 Night 2 preview and predictions

Two nights, two chances to become a wrestling legend.

Once again the showcase of the immortals is upon us. And once again the show of shows is too big for just one night! That’s right folks, like its predecessor WrestleMania 37 is so big that it’s being split into a special two night event.

So how can you watch it? The Show of Shows will be streaming live on April 10 and April 11, beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT exclusively on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else. The two-day WrestleMania kickoff show beginning at 7 ET / 3 PT on WWE.com, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Twitch. Did you get all of that?

There’s a whopping fourteen matches on the card, every WWE title is on the line, celebrities are involved, there’s a yet to be explained Nigerian Drum Fight match, and yeah, there’s a lot to take in. But not to worry, our team of experts is here to provide you with their predictions for both nights of WrestleMania. We’ve already provided you with our predictions for Night 1. So let’s keep the ball rolling with Night 2.

Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler (c) (with Reginald) vs. Tag Team Turmoil winners – Tag Team match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team ChampionshipWrestleMania 37 Night 2 preview and predictions

Forrest: While I suppose you could make one on night one, and while I wish Shayna was just in a feud with Asuka or something, I don’t think any of the potential Turmoil winners have a solid enough story to supplant Nia and Shayna. Someone in the back clearly likes them and until a better angle coheres, or until WWE just gets rid of tag titles entirely, I don’t think much momentum is to be gained.
Winner: Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler

Jason: Again, we can’t have nice things, and the office seems to be bafflingly in love with the Nia Jax and Reginald storyline, so I think the champs are rolling through on their never ending title reign.
Winner: ShayNia

Jay: KayMella. Again, odd-couple tag teams are WWE’s favorite thing (which is why we have had Nia and Shayna for as long as we have) and it’s time to go in a new direction with the tag belts. I’m actually fairly excited for it.
Winner: KayMella

Riddle (c) vs. Sheamus – Singles match for the WWE United States Championship

WrestleMania 37

WWE

Forrest: It seems like Vince McMahon just now discovered weed and how funny it can be or something, so Riddle will probably be here for a while more.
Winner: Riddle

Jason: I don’t get the booking leading into this. Sheamus has won literally every fight between the two that I can recall, whether using underhanded techniques or playing it straight. Riddle has just been a sore loser jumping him after he loses. Sure, Sheamus jumped him backstage, but given the allegations against the guy, I don’t begrudge a little street justice. That all being said, they just added birds to the dude’s entrance. Riddle’s gonna win this thing.
Winner: Riddle

Jay: It’s gonna be Riddle. Ugh.
Winner: Riddle

Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn (with Logan Paul)

WrestleMania 37

WWE

Forrest: Sami and KO are two of my most favorite wrestlers of all time, let alone at WWE, and I am so glad they’re finally getting their moment. Kevin is going to jump off that boat and get the win and damn I’m proud of him.
Winner: Kevin Owens

Jason: These two should put on an amazing match that will be left all the more hollow when Logan Paul hits KO with a steel chair allowing Sami to hit the Helluva kick and win. Tale as old as time.
Winner: Sami Zayn

Jay: So, uh, yea. Logan Paul doesn’t seem to be on Sami’s side but then KO pushed him out of the way on SD which might have pissed him off – meaning he’s going to interfere? I don’t really know but I hope Logan paul takes The Stunner from KO.
Winner: Kevin Owens

Big E (c) vs. Apollo Crews – Nigerian Drum Fight for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

WrestleMania 37

WWE

Forrest: Is this cinematic? Is it streetfight? A lumberjack match with drums on the outside? Whatever it is I hope it isn’t racist, and something Big E and Crews can feel legitimately good about putting on after that unfortunate mess at Fastlane. Hopefully a Big E sized win will convince WWE to give him the Universal reign he deserves, too.
Winner: Big E

Jason: So remember how I mentioned how Sheamus, Big E has won literally every previous matchup with his Mania opponent. Much like that bout, I expect E and Crews to put on a super fun and athletic match, and I’d actually dig it if Apollo won this thing. But I see winning what I pray isn’t a culturally insensitive depiction of Nigerian culture, drummers and otherwise.
Winner: Big E

Jay: So this isn’t going to be so much about Big E v. Apollo as it is going to be about what the Peacock can do to censor this in real time. They’ve already demonstrated that they have a low threshold for censoring anything that has a whiff of controversy off of the now migrated archive, but they’ve also shown to be unable to pause and rewind livestream. Meaning, how fast can they work to censor what will most assuredly be a crass and ignorant depiction of Nigerian culture that will do a disservice to two men who worked their asses of this year to raise their stakes within the company. Oh, and Peacock paid a billion dollars for the Network.
Winner: Big E

The Fiend (with Alexa Bliss) vs. Randy Orton

WrestleMania 37

WWE

Forrest: Following up the Firefly Funhouse with this seems…damming for the Fiend character and my interest in it. Randy has been reinvigorated lately, and I think he’s probably in a place where he cares enough to put on a good show (which these two have lacked in the past) but they gotta sell those new burnt bagel Fiend tees to somebody!
Winner: The Fiend

Jason: So this is really just a regular match? The Fiend vs Randy in a live arena? Decided by pinfall? This hasn’t historically been a very strong matchup, and the Fiend really only works when Bray is allowed to use his creativity to it’s fullest. As such, I imagine this will be a pretty big letdown, and not just because I imagine Orton’s going to barf black ooze and Alexa’s probably getting a mask. Regardless, you can’t have The Fiend lose this match. The WWE books badly, but that is just not feasible.
Winner: Crispy Fiend

Jay: So I love The Fiend. I love Randy Orton. I love Alexa Bliss. I love longterm storytelling. I love off-kilter angles. So, I should love this match but WWE has killed my love for all of these things around the time Orton started spitting black food coloring out of his mouth and came face to face with an evil clone of this. Please, mercifully, just end this feud and give The Fiend his normal attire back.
Winner: The Fiend

Asuka (c) vs. Rhea Ripley – Singles match for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship

WrestleMania 37

WWE

Forrest: Asuka is my most favorite wrestler of all time and God, I want this win for her but on a long enough timeline it also means dropping it to Charlotte and I…can’t take that again. Rhea has all the ability and charisma to do debuting title reign justice, and she too will bounce back from the eventual Charlotte win just fine I’m sure.
Winner: Rhea Ripley

Jason: Poor Asuka, always made to look like a chump at Mania. She has literally never won on the show of shows, and I don’t expect that to change on Sunday. I have high hopes for this matchup because I love both performers, but I think Rhea is going to take it. She’s got a bright future and with a heel as champ, the women’s division on Raw can have someone to chase…if they had any worthwhile face challengers not stuck in the tag division to fill it with bodies.
Winner: Rhea Ripley

Jay: Rhea Ripley. Asuka is probably tied with Bayley, Sasha, and Drew for keeping the ship afloat during this past year and has been the Raw Women’s Champion for the better part of this past year. She took the ball that Becky Lynch gave her and made touchdown after touchdown after touchdown and she’s going to make one final one when she passes the torch to Ripley. This should be a great match that will cement Rhea Ripley as a star.
Winner: Rhea Ripley

Roman Reigns (c) (with Paul Heyman) vs. Edge vs. Daniel Bryan – Triple Threat match for the WWE Universal Championship

WrestleMania 37

WWE

Forrest: Ask me five minutes and I’ll say Roman, ask me in ten and I’ll say Bryan. I really don’t know and I actually have to commend them for making a story so nuanced and unpredictable amidst a card that…definitely isn’t that. The best throughline to me seems to be Edge doing the thing Bryan wishes he could do again, though, and maybe Jimmy and Jey will pick up the SmackDown tag titles for some real “who’s the head of the table now?” heat with Roman. Everyone, including us, wins.
Winner: Edge

Jason: Man this was a lot of matches. Whew. Anyway, I’m picking Roman to retain. I think Roman as champ is the best for business. Edge isn’t really someone I find too interesting, and Bryan lacks the interesting backstory going into this one that made WrestleMania XXX so meaningful. So Roman keeping the blueberry belt just makes all the sense to me.
Winner: Roman Reigns

Jay: I f***ing love everything about this match. Number one, each one of these competitors was once told that they would never wrestle again and it’s legit inspirational that they are where they are. Number two, they all have very different styles but excel at telling stories via that contrast. Number three, holy **** did I love Bryan vs. Roman at Fastlane (till the end) and holy crap do I love Edge’s new updated in-ring work. Number four, you have Paul Heyman and Jey Uso as X-Factors that will also come into play. And number five, this is the first mania main event since WrestleMania 17 when the winner isn’t immediately obvious. No, seriously think back; every WrestleMania main event since 2001 has had an obvious winner, barring WrestleMania 34 when things got weird at the last second. I have no idea who’s going to win but I have a fool’s hope that Roman will win and be confronted by The Rock to end the show. I can’t wait.
Winner: Roman Reigns
