Comic-Con@Home ’21: ‘Doctor Who’ series 13 trailer and new cast member

Doctor Who reveals news about series 13 during Comic-Con@Home.

Doctor Who is coming back and we received our first look at the upcoming thirteenth series during the Comic-Con@Home panel. Jody Whittaker will return as the good doctor along with Mandip Gill who plays Yasmin Khan.

Joining the group on their exploits this series is Dan Lewis who is played by actor John Noble. Another actor set to appear is Game of Thrones alum, Jacob Anderson, who will make his debut as the recurring character, Vinder. Anderson is known for his role as Grey Worm in the fantasy drama series.

This season might be Doctor Who’s biggest adventure yet and unlike previous seasons, series thirteen will tell a singular story as opposed to standalone episodes. The change in narrative is largely due to filming limitations during the pandemic, which also caused a shorter eight-episode season. Check out the promo below.

There’s no official date but the new series of Doctor Who Will premiere later this year on BBC and BBC America.
