If you enjoy horror, superheroes, or great drama, why not check out our Channel Surfing TV picks for this week. The Child’s Play series receives a television adaptation in Chucky. The Legends of Tomorrow team is back for an all-new adventure. Then, a family feud becomes juicier in the new season of Succession.
Your Friend Till the End
Chucky has been terrorizing audiences for over 30 years. The little “Good Guy” doll possessed by a serial killer has racked up quite the body count in multiple films and now he sets his sight on a new medium: television.
In Chucky, the titular character ends up in a regular suburban town where he is purchased at a yard sale. Soon after, various horrific murders rock the town and some of the doll’s past friends and foes converge on the area hoping to reveal the truth behind the villain’s origins.
Chucky will debut Tuesday, October 12, on Syfy and the USA Network.
Stuck in Time
The Arrowverse’s most crazy superhero team and show is back for another season. When we last left Legends of Tomorrow, they fought off an alien invasion and even had time for a wedding. However, in all that action, the Waverider was destroyed stranding the crew in the past.
In season 7, though the team said goodbye to John Constantine, actor Matt Ryan is still part of the cast this time playing new character, Gwyn Davies. Davies is a scientist who will help the Legends get back home to their own time. Who else will they encounter on their quest? We’ll have to wait and see when Legends of Tomorrow returns on Wednesday, October 13, on The CW.
Choosing Sides
Succession is the critically acclaimed drama that revolves around the Roy Family. When the patriarch’s health begins to deteriorate, his children begin maneuvering behind the scenes to establish control of the family-owned media conglomerate.
At the end of season two, Kendall made a play against Logan and in the process, airs some of Waystar RoyCo’s dirty laundry to the public. As a result, the father and son are placed on opposite sides with the rest of the family choosing who to back. Newcomers, Alexander Skarsgård and Adrien Brody are joining the show so which Roy will they be working for?
The third season of Succession begins Sunday, October 17, on HBO.
