Marvel teases new ‘Iron Fist’ series for 2022 with Spider-Man quitting homage

Marvel Comics has released a teaser featuring Iron Fist, or at least Danny Rand for an upcoming series set for February. The teaser features art by Gunji and it’s an obvious homage to Spider-Man hanging up his tights. It has been a bit since Iron Fist had his own series, with Larry Hama and Dave Wachter’s “Heart of the Dragon” miniseries being the last.

Marvel teases new 'Iron Fist' series with Spider-Man homage

Aside from the homage, keen eyes can also see what looks like demons or creatures lurking in a window and on the top right corner of the art.

This is of course an homage to Amazing Spider-Man #50 featuring art by John Romita Sr. You can see the page below, which has been homaged many times over the years.
