Valiant’s first-ever Kickstarter campaign is fully funded and has 19 days to go and to get folks even more excited AIPT has exclusive inked pages from a big action sequence featuring Eternal Warrior and Geomancer and a word from the artist!
If you’re unfamiliar, Eternal Warrior is the fist and steel of Earth and one of three immortal Anni-Padda brothers named Gilad. It’s a story where Gilad becomes a father figure to the powerful Geomancer (an individual who communes with nature to help Earth not just survive but thrive) Tama. Mysterious and targeted fires suddenly begin to appear and Gilad suspects it’s an ancient fire deity leaving Tama to find her way into the public eye. Together, the two will uncover secrets long buried and learn the importance of their relationship.
The 100+ page graphic novel is written by Tres Dean with art by Alberto Taracido, color by Rain Beredo, and letters by Tom Napolitano. Check out the Geomancer design below.
“We all know that movies and comics have many points in common, after all they both seek to visually tell a good story. The big difference is that the first is nourished by work teams for each area, direction, script, art, photography, wardrobe, etc. However, in the comic a small team is in charge of the whole story, direction of actors, script, photography, production design,” Alberto Taracido said in a statement. “It is here where the comic becomes a complex and exciting process.”
Taracido added, “If we add to this the fact that VALIANT is behind this OGN, giving the team total freedom of creation, the project takes on a greater dimension. I am surrounded by a team passionate about giving an excellent result to all the fans and new readers of ETERNAL WARRIOR, this time with SCORCHED EARTH! Right now, I am really enjoying the line art for Eternal Warrior”.
