Toni Storm no longer with WWE

It is no longer Toni Time in WWE.

Toni Storm is no longer under contract with WWE. The news was first broken by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful and later corroborated by F4W Online. While unconfirmed, Fightful was led to believe that Storm asked for her release from the company.

The surprising news comes just a couple of weeks after Toni Storm challenged Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Storm first appeared on WWE programming in 2017 as a participant in the Mae Young Classic, and then became a mainstay on the NXT UK brand in 2018, occasionally appearing on NXT US as well.

Storm was called up to SmackDown in July 2021, where she was used inconsistently and given a bizarre “Wild Child of the ’80s” gimmick, despite being born in 1995.

We wish Toni Storm the best of luck in her future endeavors.
