Marvel Comics has announced not one, but two Captain America series are on the way starting this April with Captain America #0. The zero issue is written by Tochi Onyebuchi, Jackson Lanzing, and Collin Kelly with art by Mattia De Iulis and a slick cover by Mark Brooks.
Lanzing told EW, “Issue #0 is effectively a conversation between Steve and Sam about what it means for both of them to be Captain America simultaneously.” That convo takes place while the two hold onto the side of a rocket deployed by Arnim Zola in order to obliterate all of mankind.
Following that zero-issue is Captain America: Symbol of Truth #1 by Tochi Onyebuchi and R.B. Silva out in May focused on Sam Wilson in a globe-trotting spy thriller. Then in June Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty #1 launches by Collin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing, and Carmen Carnero. This series will focus on Steve Rogers, mostly in street clothes, asking questions like how has America changed and what does it mean to be a patriot now?
