Incendium plans to build a Frank Frazetta’s multiverse starting with ‘Death Dealer’ series in May.

Incendium has revealed a new comic book series is in the works in partnership with Franzetta Girls which is inspired by art legend Frank Frazetta’s art and creations. Titled “Death Dealer,” the series titled after Frazetta’s 1973 painting Death Dealer” and will be written by Mitch Iverson with art by Stefano Martino and Luis Antonio Delgado. The first issue drops into comic book shops on May 1st.

The series will feature cover art by legends like Simone Bianchi, Gabriele Dell’Otto, and Dan Panosian for the first issue. Future cover artists for the series include Frank Cho, Joseph Michael Linsner, Gerald Parel, Bill Sienkiewicz, and David Finch with Richard Friend.

“To carry the torch for the artwork of Frank Frazetta—which has been such an inspiration to everyone involved in this project— is a tremendous honor,” said Llexi Leon, CEO of Incendium. “We’ve teased just a fraction of what we have in store with Death Dealer, as we strive to bring new narratives and connectivity to the many worlds Frank depicted, building a rich universe across physical and digital publishing, toys, and collectibles for the next generation of fantasy fans.”

So what’s Frank Frazetta’s Death Dealer about?

The first issue embarks on a brand-new adventure through the worlds of Frazetta, introducing readers to extraordinary characters and places envisioned by the “Godfather” of fantasy art.

This is the first title in a major launch of comic books building towards an entire multiverse of stories inspired by Frazetta’s most famous creations. The partnership with the Frazetta Girls–which was founded by Frazetta’s daughter, Holly, and granddaughter, Sara–aims to showcase the late artists’ incredible legacy of work. “To see our Frazetta comic book series come to fruition is a fantasy fulfilled. I’m very grateful to the team for all of their respect and enthusiasm for my grandfather’s legacy,” said Sara Frazetta.

Incendium is also releasing a line of action figures based on characters from Frazetta’s artwork, launching with the Death Dealer, which will be available in May alongside the comic book debut.

Incendium has been on a roll with some cool plans for 2022 like their Helloween team up later this year.

Los Angeles, CA – Incendium is thrilled to announce a partnership with Frazetta Girls to launch

the Death Dealer comic book series, inspired by artwork and creations by the legendary fantasy

and sci-fi artist Frank Frazetta, one of the most renowned illustrators of all-time. The beloved

artist, who passed away in 2010, would have turned 94 today.

Titled after Frazetta’s iconic 1973 “Death Dealer” painting, the comic series will explore the

backstory behind the subject of the piece, a shadowy warrior with red eyes, reminiscent of a

medieval grim reaper with his bloody scythe, sitting astride his dark steed while ominously

looking toward the viewer. Frank Frazetta’s Death Dealer #1, hitting store shelves on May 4,

2022, represents the first of many Incendium comic titles to be sold in the direct market as the

company expands its publishing slate.

The Death Dealer series is written by critically acclaimed animation writer Mitch Iverson (DOTA:

Dragon’s Blood, Voltron: Legendary Defender) and illustrated by celebrated artists Stefano

Martino (Stranger Things, Doctor Who) and Luis Antonio Delgado (Teenage Mutant Ninja

Turtles: The Last Ronin), with issue #1 cover artwork by an all-star team of creators, including

Simone Bianchi, Gabriele Dell’Otto, and Dan Panosian. Future cover artists for the series

include Frank Cho, Joseph Michael Linsner, Gerald Parel, Bill Sienkiewicz, and David Finch

with Richard Friend.
