BOOM! Studios has revealed a preview for Mighty Morphin #17 which will launch Mat Groom and Moisés Hidalgo’s brand new story and kickoff their role as the new creative team on the series. They’re joined by color artist Raúl Angulo and letterer Ed Dukeshire. It’s the start of a new arc that has the Power Rangers struggling to build a brand new team to face down new enemies and an uncertain future. It’ll be available in comic book shops next week on March 9, 2022.
So what’s Mighty Morphin #17 about?
From a brand new creative team comes the aftermath of the ELTARIAN WAR! The Mighty Morphin team must band together with New Green Ranger Matt and former Ranger Grace Sterling to rebuild their Command Center. But will old tensions arise to create new challenges for the teams? Or can they learn to finally put aside their differences?
Mighty Morphin #17 will feature a main cover by InHyuk Lee (Seven Secrets), and variant cover art by Eleonora Carlini (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Goñi Montes (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), and Helena Masellis (House of Slaughter).

Currently, Power Rangers is celebrating 29 continuous years on the air, making it one of the longest-running kids’ live-action series in television history, with over 900 episodes aired to date. Created by Haim Saban and launched in 1993 with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the series will celebrate its 29th overall season in Spring 2022, with season two of “Power Rangers Dino Fury,” airing exclusively on Netflix in the U.S.
