EXCLUSIVE Marvel First Look: X-Men Red #2 variant

Check out Giuseppe Camuncoli’s ‘X-Men Red’ #2 variant cover.

Out on April 27th, Marvel Comics is publishing X-Men Red #2 which is possibly the hottest Destiny of X title coming this spring. Courtesy of Marvel Comics, AIPT has an exclusive first look at the second issue variant cover by Giuseppe Camuncoli and color artist Jesus Aburtov.

The cover features a flaming hot Vulcan burning from his eyes and fists. The only other detail is the flower-like object behind that is also flaming. Could Vulcan be destroying something important in the issue? We’ll have to find out in April!

The much-anticipated issue is written by Al Ewing with art by Stefano Caselli and a main cover by Russell Dauterman.

Check out the cover below.

The official solicit for X-Men Red #2 reads:

WHO CAN TAME THE RED PLANET?

The mutants of Mars spent millennia worshipping war — and on what they now call Arakko, they’re keeping up their violent ways. ABIGAIL BRAND knows the red planet needs a firm ruler in charge. But STORM has other ideas, along with a broken MAGNETO in her corner and ROBERTO DA COSTA making his own moves. Welcome to X-MEN RED. It’s a new world… and someone has to claim it.

Could Vulcan be attempting to take over the leadership of Mars? Let us know what you think in the comments!
