IGN had the scoop on Scott Snyder’s next comics project, called By a Thread. The Comixology project will be co-written by Snyder’s son Jack with art by Valeria Favoccia with colors by Whitney Cogar. Expect to find it via Comixology in 2023.
“When my teenage son Jack brought me the idea over the summer, I thought it would be an incredible opportunity for us, and we’ve been working on it ever since,” Scott Snyder told IGN. “As a dad, I’m so proud and grateful to share this experience with him, and we hope the fun we’re having creating it is evident when it’s released.”
The project continues Snyder’s relationship with Comixology, which has spanned eight series already and falls under Snyder’s Best Jackett Press label. Fans of physical comics should note this series will eventually be found in print thanks to a deal struck up between Comixology and Dark Horse Comics.
So what’s By a Thread about?
A post-apocalyptic adventure about kids surviving in a future after a mysterious and deadly infection spreads across the Earth, making the very ground we tread on untouchable…

Snyder and Comixology made waves back in July 2021 when the first eight titles in their collaboration were announced. Snyder has spoken to AIPT a few times about these projects and he noted these series have been a way to challenge himself creatively.
