If you’re interested in superheroes, sports, or academia, our Channel Surfing TV picks have the shows for you. A new generation rises up following the death of Bruce Wayne in Gotham Knights. AFC Richmond is looking to stay in the top flight league of English football in a new season of Ted Lasso. Then, Bob Odenkirk returns to regular live-action television and AMC in Lucky Hank.

To Catch a Killer

What was once a significant shared universe on The CW is ending with the last season of The Flash. There are still other DC related shows on the network including Superman and Lois and the upcoming Gotham Knights.

The latter follows Turner Hayes, Bruce Wayne’s adopted son. When Gotham’s most well-known industrialist is killed, Hayes and the children of some of the Caped Crusader’s biggest rogues are framed for the murder. Together, they form an unlikely alliance to both protect the city and clear their names. Also part of the team is Duela, Harper and Cullen Row, Carrie Kelley, and Stephanie Brown.

The series premiere of Gotham Knights airs Tuesday, March 14, on The CW.

Believe

Everyone’s favorite underdogs of AFC Richmond are back and they have quite the challenge ahead of them. The plucky team gained promotion back into the Premier League, but many pundits predict it will be a short stay since they are one of the favorites to be relegated at the end of the season. Can the group come together to prove the doubters wrong?

Meanwhile, there are other dramatic storylines to watch. Former assistant coach, Nate, is the league’s next big thing at West Ham United, and he will most certainly come across his previous team. Then there is the added narrative of Rebecca and Rupert, who used to be married, having their clubs going head-to-head. Ted is also managing his professional and personal life, and Keeley starts a new venture as the head of a PR firm.

Season three of Ted Lasso begins Wednesday, March 15, on Apple TV+.

Higher Learning Dysfunction

William Henry Devereaux, Jr. is the English department chair at the fictional Railton College. By how he acts, you’d be surprised he reached such a position. He’s approaching a midlife crisis and has issues both in his professional and personal life.

Lucky Hank is based off of the novel Straight Man by Pulitzer Prize winning writer Richard Russo. Bob Odenkirk stars in the lead role with Mirelle Enos, Olivia Scott Welch, Diedrich Bader, Sara Amini, Cedric Yarbrough, and Suzanne Cryer rounding out the main cast.

The series premiere of Lucky Hank airs Sunday, March 19, on AMC.
