StarWars.com and Hasbro celebrated another Mando Mania Tuesday this week with some very cool reveals. They also showed a great-looking toy whose image was quickly pulled from the site. Thankfully, Yakface.com was able to make sure the image was screencapped for us to see.
We’ll get into the astromech on the right in just a bit. As for the character on the left, that’s the Mandalorian Fleet Commander, who has a helmet design I absolutely love.
Let’s hope the figure is officially revealed and offered for preorder soon. For now, however, let’s continue with the official ones.
Star Wars: The Black Series R5-D4
If Hasbro is going to charge $24.99 for an astromech, then they could at least paint the part where its motivator famously exploded. The figure also won’t arrive until Spring of 2024, so that’s another strike against it. If you still want one, though, R5-D4 will be available for preorder from most major retailers on Wednesday beginning at 1:00 PM EDT.

Same issue here, although the scale is smaller and the price is $16.99. I was lucky enough to snag an earlier release, but am glad folks who want one can get it.
R5-D4 will go up for preorder on Wednesday at 1:00 PM EDT. It is expected to arrive on store shelves in the Summer of 2024.
Star Wars: The Vintage Collection Boba Fett (Tusken)
There is so, so much to love about this figure:
- It looks FANTASTIC.
- It has nice accessories and a lovely soft goods cloak.
- It vindicates those of us who didn’t cave and impulse buy the last Slave-1 release just so we could get the figure.
- IT DOESN’T HAVE A ‘BOBA FETT TAX’ PRICE!
$16.99 is still too high, but maybe Hasbro has finally realize how much it was ticking their customers off when they tacked on an extra $4 to every new Boba Fett character.
This outstanding figure will be available for preorder on Wednesday at 1:00 PM EDT. It is expected to arrive on store shelves this summer.
