AEW announces new weekly show, ‘Collision’

AEW is bringing a flagship wrestling show to Saturday nights.

AEW Collision is official. All Elite Wrestling’s Saturday show has been rumored for a while now, but Kathleen Finch, Chairman and Chief Content Officer of Warner Bros. Discovery, announced the show today at the company’s upfront presentation at Madison Square Garden. This brings a flagship AEW show back to TNT, after Dynamite moved to TBS in early 2022.

“We’re doubling-down on wrestling with ‘AEW: Collision,’ which gives fans two more hours every week,” said Jason Sarlanis, President, Turner Networks, ID and HLN, linear & streaming. “AEW’s roster of talent has expanded so quickly that we felt it needed another night to bring our audience the epic rivalries, unforgettable matches and stars they love to watch. Adding ‘Collision’ to our programming mix on TNT will allow us to satisfy the massive demand we’ve felt from our hardcore fanbase and be the ultimate complement to ‘AEW: Dynamite’ on TBS.”

The second show is heavily rumored to incorporate a roster split of sorts into AEW, similar to how WWE treats Raw and SmackDown as separate brands. It is also supposedly going to be centered around an allegedly returning CM Punk. Neither of these were mentioned at the upfront, however.

AEW Collision premieres Saturday, June 17 at 8pm ET on TNT.
