The NXT Women’s Championship No. 1 Contender Battle Royal didn’t go as planned for Dana Brooke and Cora Jade, and now they’ll face off in a singles match to determine who is more worthy of a title bout.
The surprising return to NXT by Brooke sent a shockwave through NXT, but Jade was left unimpressed, and it showed as the pair battled and eliminated each other in the Battle Royal.
Will Brooke win in her return to singles action, or will The Generation of Jade continue?
Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen vs. Hank & Tank vs. Edris Enofé & Malik Blade (#1 Contenders Match)

Carmelo Hayes and Baron Corbin go face to face

NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes and No. 1 Contender Baron Corbin are set to come face-to-face during Week One of NXT Gold Rush.
Since arriving in NXT, Corbin has targeted the champion and became No. 1 Contender by defeating Ilja Dragunov.
To prove he’s not intimidated, Hayes has taken the fight right to Corbin and even attacked him with a high-flying clothesline.
Wes Lee (c) vs. Tyler Bate for the North American Championship (Special Guest Referee Mustafa Ali)

Friends and allies face off as Wes Lee defends the NXT North American Championship against Tyler Bate with Mustafa Ali as the special guest referee.
Lee and Bate have aligned themselves for weeks with Bate even helping Lee meditate before matches. Their friendship soured when Bate wanted a title opportunity, but their shared loathing of The Schism bonded them enough for Lee to relent and give Bate the chance.
Ali entered the fray just a couple of weeks ago and inserted himself into the match as the special guest referee with the intention of calling it right down the middle.
Seth “Freakin” Rollins (c) vs. Bron Breakker for the World Heavyweight Championship

Bron Breakker shocked the WWE Universe when he called out WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins, and Rollins did the seemingly unthinkable by agreeing to defend the title in an NXT ring.
Breakker has been on a rampage since losing the NXT Title to Carmelo Hayes, and that newfound mean streak has given him enough confidence to challenge Rollins, one of the best WWE Superstars of the modern era.
Last week, Breakker was interrupted by Rollins, who accepted the challenge, setting the stage for one of the biggest matches in NXT history.
