Our Channel Surfing TV picks have it all from scares to sex to laughs. The anthology series American Horror Story returns for its twelfth installment. See how it all ends in the final season of Sex Education. Then, watch the beginning of civilization in Krapopolis.
The Price of Fame
Throughout the years, American Horror Story has covered many different genres from witches to found footage to escaped murderer at a summer camp. The latest season looks to explore the struggles with child birth and motherhood.
Season 12, subtitled Delicate, is an adaptation of the recent book Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine. The story follows an actress named Anna who has been undergoing numerous IVF treatments. Anna becomes paranoid and believes there are forces at work trying to prevent her pregnancy. As she struggles with the situation, her career takes off due to the buzzworthy response to her latest film.
American Horror Story: Delicate will be split into two parts with part one premiering Wednesday, September 20, on FX.
More Than the Birds and the Bees
When we last left Sex Education, Moordale Secondary was sold to developers so all the students needed to find a new school to attend. More importantly, Otis and Maeve took a big step together, but were quickly separated when the latter traveled to the United States for a study program.
In the final season, Otis and his classmates attend Cavendish Sixth Form College. Otis finds he has competition in the sex therapist business as the new school already has one. His new relationship with Maeve isn’t going that well either as they manage things long distance. To top it all off, his home life is a little shaky as his mother deals with being single and taking care of a newborn baby.
Stream the entire fourth season of Sex Education beginning Thursday, September 21, on Netflix.
Changing the Ancient World
Dan Harmon of Community and Rick and Morty fame has a new animated series coming out. Krapopolis centers on King Tyrannis who plans on developing one of the first cities in ancient Greece. Unfortunately, his dysfunctional family of humans, gods, and monsters don’t make the job easy for him.
In addition to having Harmon as the creator, the show boasts an impressive cast including Hannah Waddingham, Richard Ayoade, Matt Berry, Pam Murphy, and Duncan Trussel. Jordan Young serves as the showrunner.
The series premiere of Krapopolis is Sunday, September 24, on Fox.
