Courtesy of AHOY, AIPT can exclusively share the news that My Bad: Escape from Peculiar Island #1 is set to release on May 15th. That’s not all, we’ve also got an exclusive first-look at covers for the second issue. Mark Russel and Bryce Ingman, with artist Peter Krause and color artist Kelly Fitzpatrick, return to the world of My Bad after launching it back in 2021 and then following up with a sequel in 2022.
“MY BAD is hands-down the most fun I have as a writer,” said Mark Russell. “These are stories that would grace the ‘never in a million years’ pile of most superhero publishers and I couldn’t be more proud of that. So what’s My Bad: Escape from Peculiar Island about?
Following the success of MY BAD and MY BAD: THIRTY MINUTES OR DEAD, MY BAD: ESCAPE FROM PECULIAR ISLAND will feature the return of fan-favorite characters such as the crime-fighting Chandelier (also known as local lighting tycoon Jamington Winthrop), former US President John “Amazing” Adams, and breakout star Acid Chimp as well as introduce lucky readers to new characters like Professor Octopus, Captain Ohio and a horde of beaver-faced penguins.
“Our whole team has been working day and night to ensure that MY BAD: ESCAPE FROM PECULIAR ISLAND will be the weirdest, funniest, most lovable little comic book on the market,” said Bryce Ingman. “I get loads of joy out of working on this book and I want to pass that joy along to the readers.
