The Rise of an Empire
Shōgun, is historical fiction novel written by James Clavell. Back in 1980, it was made into a miniseries. Over 40 years later, Shōgun is once again coming to television.
The story is a fictionalized version of real events that follows an English sailor named John Blackthorne, who finds himself shipwrecked in Japan. His fate soon becomes intertwined with a powerful daimyo named Lord Toranaga. Working together, Toranaga is able to expand his influence in the Japanese Empire during his pursuit of the titular title.
The two-episode series premiere of Shōgun airs Tuesday, February 27, on FX.
A Legendary Outlaw
Dick Turbin was a well known British highwayman of the 18th Century. His life of robbing unsuspecting victims and other crimes became romanticized in song and theatre making him more hero than outlaw.
Now we can learn of his untrue exploits in The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin. Noel Fielding stars in the lead role that is a comedic fictional take on the figure. Watch the rise of a legend, whose approach to the job is a lot less violent as his contemporaries.

The Fall of a Power
The Regime is a political satire that takes viewers inside the palace of an authoritarian government. Over the course of a year, decisions by the senior leadership causes everything to crumble.
The biggest cause of the decline is Chancellor Elena Vernham. She becomes a recluse in her own home and shows signs of paranoia and instability. The Chancellor increasingly rejects the advisement of her council. Instead, she turns to an equally unbalanced soldier as her confidant. As she tries to increase her power, everything else around her begins to fall apart.
