Mercedes Moné debuts at AEW Big Business

The ‘CEO’ formerly known as Sasha Banks is All Elite.

It’s official: Mercedes Moné is All Elite. The former Sasha Banks kicked off AEW Big Business from TD Garden in her hometown of Boston, Massachusetts, cutting a promo thanking the fans for always being behind her and explaining her decision to join All Elite Wrestling.

Mercedes Moné has been sidelined with an ankle injury since May 21, when she faced off against Willow Nightingale at NJPW Resurgence in a match for the inaugural NJPW Strong Women’s Championship.

Moné is one of the most accomplished women’s wrestlers of all time. As Sasha Banks, she won the Raw Women’s Championship five times, and the SmackDown Women’s Championship and NXT Women’s Championship once each. She is a three time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, including being the first champion alongside partner Bayley. As Mercedes Moné, she is a former IWGP Women’s Champion, defeating inaugural champion KAIRI (now Kairi Sane in WWE).

There is no doubt that the “CEO” is looking to add the AEW Women’s World Championship to that trophy case.
