IDW has revealed the much anticipated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 by Jason Aaron and Joëlle Jones has surpassed 140,000 orders, with the final order cutoff for comic shops still open until this weekend.
Having read the issue, I can already tell fans are going to be titillated, especially with the focus on Raphael and each subsequent issue revealing where each Ninja Turtle is. The comic packs a punch, literally and figuratively, with street-level appeal and dark-edged moodiness only Raphael could bring.
On sale July 24th, fans have until June 10th to ask their comic shops to reserve a copy.
