Earlier this week, IDW revealed that they’ve re-upped their partnership with Paramount to make more Star Trek comics, and today, Star Trek: Lower Decks was announced as a new ongoing series. The series is written by Ryan North with art by Derek Charm, and it will launch its first tissue on November 13th. The series comes after North and Charm were nominated for an Eisner for their Lower Decks one-shot.

Ryan North is showing us just how deep of a Trek nerd he is with these stories, and paired with the comedic geniuses of Derek Charm, Jack Lawrence and more on art duties for a rotating cast of ‘episodic’ issues, this series is a mission so fun that even the Lower Deckers themselves won’t want to miss it!”
So what’s Star Trek: Lower Decks about?
The ongoing series will feature episodic storytelling with each tale presented by a different artist.
