Green Lantern #15 continues the momentum established in previous issues, especially if you’ve read Absolute Power #3 beforehand. Writer Jeremy Adams and artist Fernando Pasarin bring readers deeper into Hal Jordan and Wally West’s ongoing mission, delivering a pivotal moment of hope for our heroes. The issue doesn’t just focus on these two, though — we also check in on Alan Scott, Carol Ferris, and other key figures from across the DC Universe. With a variety of guest stars, this series keeps the excitement high. But the big question remains: just how much trouble will Hal Jordan cause for Amanda Waller’s reign in Absolute Power? Let’s dive in.

It is pretty wild that we’re 15 issues deep into this series, and we are seeing our second Flash and Green Lantern team up, but what makes this one different? Hal Jordan and Wally West! It’s been quite a while since we’ve seen these two have an adventure together. The last I can think of is Gorilla Warfare from the early ’90s, and another gem is seeing Wally as Kid Lantern in an adventure with Barry and Hal. The way Jeremy Adams played the “uncle/nephew” relationship between the two was lots of fun as they are both impulsive men, and they keep pushing the limit.
DC Comics
The opening banter between the two was funny, as it almost seemed that Wally was worried about Hal’s driving. The line about wondering if Linda feels that way about Wally’s ability to speed her away was hilarious. The team-up is proof that Jeremy Adams gets characters and makes their interactions worthwhile and as accurate as comics can get. Once the two get to Batman’s secret vehicle, the banter goes to another level, seeing Wally play the straight man to Hal’s excitement. Seeing the two blast off into adventure is such a grand moment captured wonderfully by Fernando Pasarin and Romulo Fajardo Jr.
DC Comics
The comic doesn’t stop with Hal and Wally; we also check in on Carol Ferris and Alan Scott. Those moments make the comic feel like a bonus, as we get so much in one issue. Seeing Carol deal with the ramifications of her decisions as she sees Nate’s new status was sad yet exciting, as it seems it will tie into the Emotional Spectrum. Jeremey Adams ties things up nicely as we see Alan, Carol, and Hal’s paths cross over, which is excellent as it progresses the Absolute Power event while moving this series forward. The epilogue with John Stewart was a fun trip, and I am very excited to see what will come next with the conclusion to Absolute Power and the upcoming Civil Corps Special.
Green Lantern and Flash team up, but this time, it’s the two hot heads Hal Jordan and Wally West. What a great escape and rush to recharge as the heroes race away from Waller’s forces. Plus, we get Carol Ferris experiencing the ups and downs of being a hero, Alan Scott mentoring the unknown, and John Stewart getting us ready for the upcoming Civil Corps event. There is so much in just one issue; it’s a fantastic time to be a Green Lantern fan.
