The Simpsons spreads Christmas cheer in “O C’mon All Ye Faithful.” A woman tries to get to the bottom of why all her past hook-ups are dying in Laid. Then, the final season of Marvel’s What If…? begins.

Homer Claus

As if taking over Monday Night Football wasn’t enough, The Simpsons are back on Disney+ with an all-new holiday special. “O C’mon All Ye Faithful” arrives 35 years after the animated sitcom’s original Christmas special.

The double sized episode finds Springfield being visited by renowned British mentalist, Derren Brown in order to raise the town’s Christmas spirit. In the process, Homer is hypnotized to believe he is Santa Claus. In the new role, Homer causes everyone to reconsider what they believe in and what is the true meaning of a miracle. Both Patti LaBelle and Pentatonix have special musical performances.

Stream “O C’mon All Ye Faithful” beginning Tuesday, December 17, Disney+.

Deadly Problems in Love

Laid started as an Australian comedy series that ran for two seasons. The protagonist of the show discovers that her former lovers are dying by strange and twisted circumstances. She decides to find the pattern to see if she can prevent the body count from rising.

The American version follows the same premise. It stars Stephanie Hsu in the lead role with Zosia Mamet, Michael Angarano and Tommy Martinez rounding out the main cast. The co-showrunners, executive producers, and writers are Nahnatchka Khan and Sally Bradford McKenna.

The entire first season of Laid launches Thursday, December 19, on Peacock.

Through the Multiverse

Marvel’s What If…? provided viewers with interesting takes on familiar characters, but with a twist. The animated series also helped convey ideas of the Multiverse as the MCU went the same route.

Now the show will be coming to an end with its third season. This time around, we’ll explore such questions as what if Howard the Duck got married, the hulk fought a group of mech Avengers, the Watcher disappeared and much more.

Season three of Marvel’s What If…? premieres Sunday, December 22, on Disney+.
