‘Superman’ sneak peek features Krypto and super robots

‘Superman’ comes to movie theaters on July 11.

James Gunn’s Superman movie is the most anticipated film of the year, and now we’ve got an extended scene to get a sense of its tone. What’s particularly interesting is there’s a bit of comedy and a lot of seriousness thrown in. The comedy comes via Kyrpto playing with Superman not knowing he’s hurt, and the seriousness being Superman in a lot of pain.

The comic book element is strong with this one, particularly the design of the Fortress of Solitude. Anyone who read All-Star Superman will note that the robots are familiar as well.

Check out the clip below.

So what’s Superman about?

Superman embarks on a journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent.

The film comes to movie theaters on July 11th.
