AEW Dynasty 2025 card and predictions
Kyle Fletcher vs. Mark Briscoe (Men’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament Quarterfinals)

Darius: A bit of a last-minute addition, this one, but I’m still pretty hyped for it as both of these men have really brought it every time I’ve seen them in the past few months. However, a lovely ROH title reign aside, I don’t typically go into Mark Briscoe matches expecting him to win, whereas the Protostar is just that: a star in the making. Singles Star Kyle Fletcher has been a very pleasant surprise in AEW this past year, and I don’t think they’re slowing him down any time soon.
Winner: Kyle Fletcher
Shane: Just because he’s had one hell of a break out singles run recently, I’m going to give the nod to Kyle Fletcher here. It’s just nice to see people get rewarded for their good work/performances.
Winner: Kyle Fletcher
Mercedes Moné vs. Julia Hart (Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament Quarterfinals)

Darius: While I could see a very belt-collection-heavy path where Mercedes Moné wins this tournament and goes after both Athena and whoever the AEW Women’s Champion on her path to All In: Texas, I think four belts and three championships might just be Mercedes’s peak for this run. However, Mercedes is still someone AEW is presenting as a threat to all champions, so I do not envision non-champion Julia Hart beating her in a first round match, even if Julia does share a surname with the tournament’s namesake.
Winner: Mercedes Moné
Shane: Mercedes is too big of a name to just lose in the first round of any tournament. Especially when a match with Athena is right there.
Winner: Mercedes Moné
Will Ospreay vs. Kevin Knight (Men’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament Quarterfinals)

Darius: With Jay White out of this thing due to injury, my three potential winners for this tournament has dropped down to two. One of them is in this match, and his name is not Kevin Knight. I think that Knight making his full-time debut against Jay White and being put in a short program with Will Ospreay is great for his introduction, but Knight’s going to need a lot more of a set-up before I can reasonably believe that he’s beating AEW’s most valuable player (sorry MVP) in his third match.
Winner: Will Ospreay
Shane: Take my logic from the Women’s quarterfinals match and paste it here. Ospreay is too big of a name to just lose in the first round. But, knowing Ospreay he will make Kevin Knight look like gold on his way to the pay window.
Winner: Will Ospreay
Chris Jericho (c) vs. Bandido for the ROH World Championship (Title vs. Mask)

Darius: The good news is that we either get the ROH Championship off of Chris Jericho or we find out exactly how hot Bandido is under that mask, as is the trend with luchadores who’ve lost their masks in recent memory (looking at you, Dr. Wagner, Jr.). I haven’t really hated Jericho’s most recent run—in fact, I feel like he’s in better shape than he’s been for a while, has had some fun matches, and has cut promos that have been the right level of annoying, cultivating regular heat instead of the go-away kind. However, my favorite thing about Chris Jericho is his ability to reinvent himself, and stripping him of his “Nueve” title and some ensuing friction amongst the Learning Tree members is (slightly) more exciting to me than Bandido potentially providing eye candy.
Winner: Bandido
Shane: Chris Jericho is far too old to be winning and de-masking a young upcoming talent like Bandido. I’m not saying that Jericho being ROH Word Champion doesn’t add some much needed name recognition to that belt’s lineage, but it’s time to move on.
Winner: Bandido
Daniel Garcia (c) vs. Adam Cole for the TNT Championship (No Time Limit, No Outside Interference)

Darius: Anyone who’s been active in the AIPT Discord server knows that I am not a big fan of babyface Adam Cole, but I’ve been way less vocal about my feelings on Daniel Garcia’s TNT title reign. Those feelings aren’t as explicitly negative as my feelings about Adam Cole, but worse than making me feel good or bad, I’m just kind of bored of Garcia as champion, which sucks because I really like him. The number of times I’ve wondered who the TNT Champion is in the past few months has been too high, and I feel like the title could benefit from a new face. I don’t think it has to be Cole (in fact, I honestly wish it wasn’t and hope it isn’t), but after three run-backs of the same match, I feel like Cole winning this one with no BS would finish this admittedly interesting series of matches. Or, to throw me a bone, if this match does end with purposeful BS on Cole’s part, we’ll at least get the more interesting version of this man – the cocky catchphrase dude from PWG who’s easy to boo and who wants you to boo him.
Winner: Adam Cole
Shane: I might be in the minority here, but I do not like Daniel Garcia. He has done nothing for me in his entire run at AEW as a whole and has done even less as TNT champion. I also think Adam Cole has jumped the shark in terms of popularity and overness, but a stale Adam Cole is still better than any version of Daniel Garcia in my book.
Winner: Adam Cole
The Hurt Syndicate (c) vs. Bryan Keith and Big Bill for the AEW World Tag Team Championship

Darius: First off, we hurt people. Second, even though I’ve enjoyed watching Big Bill tap back into his underrated promo game, and I’ve liked the intensity that Keith and Bill have shown in recent tag matches, there’s no shot that either of them can handle mini-boss Shelton Benjamin, let alone big boss Bobby Lashley. The Hurt Syndicate is comprised of monsters, and it’s going to take an unquestionably tough team to take them out.
Winners: The Hurt Syndicate
Shane: The Hurt Business, err Syndicate, has been the most exciting thing to happen to the AEW Tag Team division in years! It would make absolutely no sense for them to lose the titles yet.
Winners: The Hurt Syndicate
Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and PAC (c) vs. Rated FTR for the AEW World Trios Championship

Darius: I was so, so close to saying that this was it for the Death Riders and that Rated FTR are walking out of Dynasty as champions, but then freaking Cash told Dax on this past Dynamite that, after Dynasty, Rated FTR needs to talk. I am as certain as I can be that FTR are going to beat the tar out of Adam Copeland and return to their heelish ways (an alignment which I feel is much more natural for FTR, even if they can cut a mean babyface promo), and that just cannot happen if they’re Trios Champions together. I mean, they certainly can beat up their co-champion, but it’d be pretty dumb to end the Death Riders’ reign of terror just to break up the new champions immediately—especially with the Opps right there.
Winners: Death Riders
Shane: Darius needs to get out of my head… I literally feel exactly the same way. I am sick and tired of the Death Riders schtick and I want them to lose everything Sunday night, but damn it, I can’t see Rated FTR being the ones to do it yet.
Winners: Death Riders
Toni Storm (c) vs. Megan Bayne for the AEW Women’s World Championship

Darius: This is a spicy one, but why not. I’ve seen many promotions and territories bring in a monster who always seems to get one over on the champion, but when they finally meet in the title match, the champion bucks up and puts the monster in their place. Don’t do that this time, though. I’m not the world’s biggest Megan Bayne fan and I am a pretty huge Toni Storm fan, but I think having Megan Bayne come in, beat up the champion, pin her in a tag match, and win the champion in her first opportunity is a really strong way to set Megan up for success. Toni Storm will not be hurt by letting a bulldozer run her over, as she will one day become a five-time champion (shoutout Booker T), but a strong start followed by an early loss to the impressive blonde AEW megastar sounds a like a fast track to becoming the women’s division’s Lance Archer (a position already taken by Nyla Rose).
Winner: Megan Bayne
Shane: This is the hardest match to call for me. Toni Storm continues to prove why she might be the best act in all of professional wrestling – she’s that great. But, Megan Bayne has been given an almost 2002 Lesnar-like treatment. So, as a booker, do you keep the title on the most over act in the business, Toni Storm, or do you strap the rocket to the Next Bigish Thing, Megan Bayne? I think TK will play it safe rather than sorry and keep the belt on Toni for now.
Winner: “Timeless” Toni Storm
Kenny Omega (c) vs. Ricochet vs. “Speedball” Mike Bailey for the AEW International Championship

Darius: I adore Mike Bailey and think he should win his next title match, regardless of what title he goes after. I’m loving Ricochet’s run, and I think he’d be especially great winning this match if not for what’s coming next for AEW. All In this summer could use a high-profile Kenny Omega title match, and the one that’s been rumored really tickles my fancy, so I don’t think the Best Bout Machine should lose this beautiful belt until the big show, if then. Kenny Omega is, in my opinion, the best big match wrestler in the world today, and something about this man walking out with a championship just makes matches better. Yes, Kenny Omega is my favorite wrestler. No, I’m not biased. Why do you ask?
Winner: Kenny Omega
Shane: I am still shocked Ricochet has had the stellar run he’s had in AEW. Yes, I was one of those guys that immediately thought he would be lost in the shuffle and become just another name on an extremely large and talented roster. However, I am happy to be wrong. But neither he nor Mike Bailey will be dethroning Kenny Omega.
Winner: Kenny Omega
Jon Moxley (c) vs. Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship

Darius: At this point, I’m really just begging. I heard Hangman’s promise to never let Swerve win the AEW World Championship, but I’m hoping their interaction this past Wednesday has changed Hangman’s mind about that, because I really need the AEW World Champion to be someone who I actively want to watch. Shoutout to Mox for taking nails to the back, as his passion for this business has never been in doubt, but his run as champion has been so uninspired that I cannot wait for one of AEW’s new generation of guys to put him down. Ospreay, Hangman, White, Takeshita—really anyone in the title scene besides Adam Copeland or Christian Cage. Swerve’s up next to bat, and I seriously don’t think there’s any pay-off in the world that would be worth another month or couple of months of the World Championship being hidden in a briefcase. Swerve wins the World Championship. Hangman or Ospreay challenges him at All In in a rematch of one of the best matches in AEW history (regardless of which one it is), and everything’s just clean. I simply do not care what Moxley does from there. I just need the belt off of him so that we can recalibrate and make AEW more enjoyable as a whole.
Winner: Swerve Strickland
Shane: Tony, for the love of God or what ever you find holy, please, PLEASE, take the title off of Moxley. The Death Riders story ran its course months ago and it’s time to give it the Old Yeller treatment. The Death Riders have been boring me to death and it’s time to end this experiment. Give the belt to Swerve so we can all move on.
Winner: Swerve Strickland
